Thank you for choosing VeloMeet. Your privacy is a top priority for us. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to protecting your privacy and explains how we handle permissions.
The core principle of our extension is simple: VeloMeet collects absolutely no personal data.
VeloMeet is designed to be completely private. We do not collect, store, track, or share any kind of user data, including but not limited to:
All operations performed by the extension are executed locally within your browser and are entirely ephemeral. No information is ever sent to any external server.
To provide its functionality, VeloMeet requires a few permissions. Here is a clear explanation of why each one is necessary:
tabs: This permission is required for the core function of the extension, which is to open a new tab with the Google Meet URL (chrome.tabs.create).
storage: We use this permission to temporarily save the ID of the newly created tab. This is a technical requirement to ensure the link-copying logic works correctly on the right tab. This data is cleared immediately after use and contains no personal information.
scripting: This permission is used to run a script on the meet.google.com page. Its sole purpose is to copy the meeting link to your clipboard for your convenience. The extension cannot and does not read any other content from the page.
notifications: This permission allows us to show you a simple confirmation message to let you know that the meeting link has been successfully copied to your clipboard.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
